Artist's Statement

The ideal objective of portraiture is to create unique images that tell

us something about the subject's personality, priorities, and lifestyle.

Portraits can be created either in a studio or on location. The advantage of the studio is that is allows 

complete control of lighting and shadow effects that can be more difficult to create on location.

You can also create an intimacy in the studio that's difficult match elsewhere. I find that

 bringing  people into a studio space can have the effect of limiting the way we think

about capturing the subjects unique qualities. In many cases location photography

provides a better milieu than a studio and is more economical than creating locations

in the studio.  Whatever your needs we can
